Frequently Asked Questions

I Thought I Only Needed Door Edge Guards?

Protecting your car door edges with edge guards is not a bad idea, and is a very considerate thing to do. However, while it prevents chips on the edges of your doors it doesn't prevent others who have parked beside you from opening their doors and hitting the middle of yours.

Though edge guards are effective at preventing paint chips they are not substantial enough to absorb the impact of one door hitting another. Paint chips and scratches maybe avoided, but the force of the impact could still leave a significant dent.

If you really want to protect your vehicle's paint and body panels you need to protect not only the edge of the door, but the entire panel – the most vulnerable area being the middle.

DoorDefender® gives you control over how other treat your car when parked. It was designed to give your doors the full coverage they need where ever you park (including your own garage).*

Parking is getting tighter every day. DoorDefender® takes over where door edge guards leave off, completing your car paint protection plan.
